About Lydden Models
We are a small Family Model maker Based in Lydden, a small village not far from Dover in Kent
We design Models that are finished and primed ready for painting. We produce scale model buildings for Model Railway enthusiasts and hobbyists alike. Our aim is to produce affordable high quality models that don't break the bank.
Product Design
At the heart of Lydden models is our mission to create affordable models for all. Each model is carefully designed with all details captured using 3D modelling software. the design is then transformed into a real model using 3D printing. The newly created model is then finished by hand and primed with grey or white primmer ready to be painted by you to give a personal unique finish to suit your layout. Design service.
We have multiple models to choose from on our shop page with new models being added frequently.
However if we do not have the model you are looking then contact us we offer a free design service. We will design the required model for you from photographs or rough sketches provided from you, the more photos or sketches from different angels the more accurate the model will be. We keep you updated on the progress by providing illustrations of the model from the modelling software to check the model is made to you specification and apply any changes you require. Once you are happy with the design we produce the model and check that you are happy with the finished item. We will then cost the model and advise you of this cost if you are happy then you can purchase the model.
We will add the model to our available list of models available for general purchase by anyone wishing to buy the model. However if required the design can be purchased as a unique model where we only make the model for you. All design files and drawings will also be passed to you. Pricing will be charged with time to design taken into account if the model is a one off design.
